House DD is an alteration and addition to an existing Cape Dutch Vernacular house.

The original house was in a sad state of disrepair and required an extensive alteration to create a livable family home.

​

The home is a nod to pastoral living, as the existing roof dictated a double volume barn typology.  

The living space was elongated and internal walls removed to create a cathedral like space.
